Charlotte Summers

Dr. Charlotte Summers undertook specialist training in respiratory (Cambridge) and Intensive Care Medicine (London), during which time she undertook a PhD at the University of Cambridge which studied the pulmonary transit kinetics of human neutrophils. Since finishing her clinical training, Charlotte has divided her time between her research into the cell biology of acute respiratory distress syndrome and clinical work (the John V Farman ICU) at Addenbrooke’s. Charlotte’s research aims to define the role of neutrophil-endothelial cell interactions in regulating pulmonary inflammation. She was recently appointed as a University Lecturer and Honorary Consultant in Critical Care Medicine.
